Food for Thought


Noun:  independence
1.       Freedom from control or influence of another or others (think for yourself)
2.       The successful ending of the American Revolution
3.       The state of being able to support oneself without help from others (understand your own influence and do not cater to other’s ideologies)
Noun:  freedom
1.       The condition of being free; the power to act, speak or think without externally imposed restraints (think 1st amendment but be wary of outside, i.e. religious or political influences or labels)  think for yourself (I’m sensing a theme here)
2.       Immunity from an obligation or duty
Noun: tyranny
1.       A form of government in which the ruler is an absolute dictator (not restricted by constitution, laws or opposition etc)  (I foresee someone trying to overturn or amend term limits for presidents, in other words someone who currently occupies The White House might think, “It’s good to be king of the world and Goddammit I’m good.”)
2.       Dominance through threat or punishment of violence, i.e.  Political goon squad.
Noun: prejudice
1.       A partiality that prevents objective consideration of an issue or situation (aka racism….it’s wrong and you KNOW it)
2.       An adverse judgment or opinion formed beforehand without good justification (I prejudge your judgment)
Verb: prejudice
1.       (justice) disadvantage by prejudice
2.       Influence (somebody’s) opinion in advance (think for yourself)
Noun: apathy
1.       An absence of emotion or enthusiasm (i.e., not voting or researching candidates….get with the program people)
2.       The trait of lacking enthusiasm or interest in things generally (get off your f’ing cell phones…get off social medial and discover what is really happening in the REAL world)
Noun: result
1.       A phenomenon that follows and is caused by some previous phenomenon
2.       A statement that solves  a problem or explains how to solve a problem
3.       Something that happens or is a product as the final consequence or product (get off your ass and vote….start with your town mayor and go from there)
Verb: result
1.       Happen afterwards
2.       Have a result or residue (make a f’ing difference)
3.        Come about or follow consequence
Verb: react
1.       Show a response or reaction to something
2.       Act against  in opposition to (pay attention…..make a difference…. react….understand what independence and freedom mean.
